A “no-charge audit” usually means one of two things. Either it’s a real look at your business, or it’s a sales call wearing a nicer name. You’ve probably sat through the second kind.
So here’s exactly what happens in the no-charge 15-minute AI audit I run, what it looks at, what you should bring, and what you walk away with. If it isn’t useful to you after reading this, you’ll know before you book.
What is an AI audit for a business?
An AI audit is a short, structured look at where your business is losing work or money that it already earned, and whether AI or automation is the right fix for any of it.
Notice the order. The audit doesn’t start with AI. It starts with your business: how people find you, what happens when they call or fill out a form, and who follows up. AI only comes into the conversation once we know where the gaps are.
That’s the first step of the method I use for every client, Audit, Optimize, Automate:
- Audit finds where money slips out.
- Optimize fixes the steps first: who answers, how fast, who follows up.
- Automate sets up the parts that should never depend on someone remembering.
The 15-minute call is the Audit. You can read the full Audit, Optimize, Automate method if you want the longer version.
What does the no-charge AI audit look at?
Five places. Most owner-run businesses have one or two of these that really hurt.
- Missed calls. Calls that go unanswered when your team is busy or the office is closed.
- Slow follow-up. Forms and messages that wait hours for a real reply.
- Reviews. Happy customers who never get asked for one, and reviews nobody answers.
- Old leads and past customers. A list that’s already yours that nobody has reached out to lately.
- Ads with no follow-up. Paid clicks that turn into leads and then sit.
None of these shows up as a bill. That’s why they’re easy to miss. You already pay to get people to call, click and walk in. If some of them hit voicemail, wait a day for a reply, or never hear from you again, that money is gone and nobody sends you an invoice for it.
You don’t need more leads first. You need to catch the ones you already have.
What happens on the 15-minute call?
It’s a phone call, and it runs in three parts.
First, I ask a few questions. What you do, how new customers find you now, and what happens when they call or fill out a form. Plain questions. You don’t need to prepare a presentation.
Second, I point out the biggest gap I see. In plain words, with no jargon. If your phone goes to voicemail after 5 PM and that’s where your leads come in, I’ll say so.
Third, you decide what, if anything, comes next. If a deeper look makes sense, I’ll explain what that involves. If it doesn’t, you still leave with something useful. There’s no pressure and no obligation.
What should I bring to the audit?
Not much. The audit works best with your real answers, not polished ones. It helps to know roughly:
- How most new customers or clients reach you today (phone, website form, email, referrals, ads).
- Who answers the phone during the day, and what happens after hours.
- How quickly someone usually replies to a form or email, if you know.
- Whether you ask customers for reviews, and who does it.
- Whether you have a list of past customers or old leads, and when anyone last contacted them.
If you don’t know some of these, that’s an answer too. “I’m not sure who calls back web leads” is often the most useful thing said on the call.
Want to start with numbers before you talk to anyone? Put your own figures into the missed call and slow reply calculators first.
What do I leave with?
Three things:
- A short, honest look at your five spots, in your words and your numbers.
- The one or two that look like the biggest leaks for your business.
- One next step I’d fix first, and why.
That last one matters most. Most owners don’t need a long report. They need to know which single change to make on Monday.
Is a no-charge AI audit worth it?
It’s worth 15 minutes if any of these sound familiar:
- You’re not sure every call and form gets a reply.
- You’ve tried ChatGPT or an AI tool and it didn’t stick. (I wrote about why ChatGPT alone stalls for most businesses.)
- You know you have old leads or past customers sitting in a list, untouched.
- You keep hearing you should “use AI” but don’t know where it fits first.
It’s probably not worth it if you already track response times on every channel, follow up on every lead automatically, and have a review process that runs without you. If that’s you, you’re ahead of most businesses, and I’ll tell you so.
Is it really no charge?
Yes. The audit is no charge. It’s fifteen minutes, and you’re not asked for a card.
I’ll also be straight about what it isn’t. It isn’t a promise of how much you’ll make. I won’t quote you a revenue number on a 15-minute call, because I’d be guessing, and you’d be right not to trust it.
Do I need to be “ready for AI”?
No. Most businesses that book don’t use any AI yet, and that’s fine. Plenty of the fixes that come out of an audit aren’t AI at all. Sometimes it’s a clear rule about who checks the inbox, or a calendar link in the auto-reply.
AI earns its place where people can’t cover the gap: the call at 8:30 PM, the form at 6 AM, the follow-up nobody remembered to send. If you want a head start on that question, read what to automate with AI first.
Straight answers
What is a no-charge AI audit?
A no-charge 15-minute call that looks at five places businesses commonly lose money they already earned (missed calls, slow follow-up, reviews, old leads and past customers, and ads with no follow-up) and names the one next step worth fixing first.
How long does the SamJak AI audit take?
Fifteen minutes, by phone.
Do I have to buy anything after the audit?
No. You decide what, if anything, comes next. There’s no pressure and no obligation.
What do I need to prepare?
Nothing formal. It helps to know how customers reach you, who answers calls and forms, and whether anyone follows up with old leads or asks for reviews.
Will you promise how much more revenue I’ll make?
No. The audit points out where money is likely slipping out and what to fix first. It doesn’t promise a revenue figure.
